Richard founded Yak Management to bring brokerage-grade responsiveness to residential property management in New York City. The company grew directly out of Pear NYC, the residential brokerage he helped build — as Pear leased apartments for Brooklyn landlords, owners kept asking the team to manage their buildings too. Richard turned that demand into a boutique, principal-led management company.

Richard provides strategic leadership across Yak Management and remains personally involved in owner relationships and the firm’s rent-stabilization and HPD-compliance work. He is a licensed New York real estate broker with deep roots in the Brooklyn market.
